Warranty

I. WARRANTY EBC COMPUTERS, warranties all parts for 30 days from the purchase date, unless otherwise stated on the invoice. This warranty only covers defects in workmanship. All parts sold by EBC are covered under a 6-month RMA Warranty unless stated otherwise; this warranty does not cover physical damage and requires that the product be in its original packaging with all original contents. EBC does not provide warranty for items returned without the original invoice. This warranty is void on LCD's and CRT monitors if they are not returned with their orignal box and foam. This warranty is void at EBC Computer’s discretion on any product that has evidence of being abused, mishandled, incorrectly installed or altered. EBC reserves the right to expressly limit or void this warranty as expressly listed on the invoice. After the warranty stated on the invoice, customers must contact the manufacturer for warranty service. ALL SOFTWARE IS ‘SOLD AS IS': NO RETURNS, NO UPGRADES, NO WARRANTY, and NO SUPPORT. EBC’s warranty, or extended 5% warranty does not cover batteries, including but not limited to those found on motherboards, rechargeable batteries found in input devices, and laptop batteries. LCD’s covered under the 5% warranty will not be considered defective unless 5 or more pixels are burned out in the case of 15” and 17” LCD’s, and 7 or more are burned out in the case of 19” LCD’s.
EBC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST TIME OR LOST DATA.
THE CUSTOMER WAIVES THE RIGHT TO TAKE ANY DISPUTE TO COURT AND AGREES TO SUBMIT DISPUTES TO AN ARBITRATOR CHOSEN BY EBC COMPUTERS.
EBC COMPUTERS RESEVERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE.
EBC Computers is not responsible for errors in our warranty description of the manufactures warranty coverage. Manufacturers change their warranty often; our listing of it is in good faith.

II. RETURNS & UPGRADES RETURN POLICY: CPU's and Motherboards have 50% restocking fee, if you choose to return it for whatever reason Within the return period on any item purchased (30 days unless otherwise specified on the invoice), EBC will return full money back or the EBC price at the time of the return, whichever is lower, if all original parts are brought back (original manuals, disk, cables, boxes, etc.) in re-salable condition. If the main components are there, but original manuals, disk, cables, boxes, etc. are missing or if not in re-salable condition EBC will charge a 50% restocking fee. All unclaimed RMA’s become property of EBC after 90 days. All credits inactive for 1 consecutive month will be refunded by check and mailed to the address on file. For any service: RMA, exchange, return, or 5% warranty, the ORIGINAL INVOICE IS REQUIRED. Any and all warranties are void on any product with physical damage. The 5% Replacement Warranty will extend the products warranty for 1 year from original purchase date. If a product is deemed to be defective, EBC will swap or repair the defective part within five business days, at the discretion of EBC. Otherwise, we will issue a refund for the current fair market value of the item minus the cost of 5% Replacement Warranty. 5% Replacement Warranties are not returnable, refundable, or transferable.
Shipping charges or any other expenses incurred from shipping are not refundable or transferable.

III. CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY 1. When receiving products with serial numbers and when requesting a RMA number, the customer must make sure that the serial number of the products are exact matches to the ones listed on the original invoice and packing list. RMA's will not be issued without a copy of the original invoice and packing list. Always inspect all parts upon receipt because upon return of any part, if any physical damage is found, all warranties are void. 2. Customer should always provide a detailed and specific description of any problems for defective items.3. Customer should always print the RMA number on the shipping package; otherwise, the part will be rejected. 4. For business check payment, customers must provide a valid driver license. No student or military ID will be accepted. Customer name, street address, and telephone number must appear on the check.5. For personal check payment, customers must provide a valid driver license. No student or military ID will be accepted. Customer name, street address, and home telephone number must appear on the check. 6. No 3rd party checks, P.O. boxes for the address, credit card checks, or money orders will be accepted.
Refunds will be issued by check only. Refund checks will be issued three business days after the refund date.

DUE TO LIABILITY ISSUES, EBC CANNOT ALLOW CUSTOMERS TO ASSEMBLE OR REPAIR COMPUTER SYSTEMS ON THE PREMISES.

DISCREPANCY AND SHIPPING DAMAGE: 1. Any discrepancy, including wrong items or missing items, should be reported to RMA Department within 24 hours. 2. For shipping damage, customers should file claim with the shipping carrier immediately. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO: (A) DAMAGE CAUSED BY ACCIDENT, ABUSE, MISHANDLING OR DROPPING; (B) UNITS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO UNAUTHORIZED REPAIR, OPENED OR TAKEN APART; (C) UNITS NOT USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH DIRECTIONS; AND (D) DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE COST OF THE PRODUCT. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL EBC COMPUTERS BE LIABLE TO PURCHASER OR ANY OTHER PERSON FOR ANY SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (including but not limited to damages related to loss of data), WHETHER ARISING OUT OF BREACH OF WARRANTY, BREACH OF CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE.

Customers that bounce a check will be charged a $20 fee in the first 15 days and $40 after 15 days that he/she does not pay on all returned checks and is additionally responsible for all costs of collection, including but not limited to attorney’s fees, court costs and any other expenses as a result of collection. There will be an additional 1.5% per month interest charge on all amounts not paid within 10 days after due date, both before and after judgment, and counting each month until paid.
